Although I am with my children twenty four hours a day, I don't think I spend enough time with them. I am talking about quality time, rather than quantity time. If tomorrow never comes, will they know how much I love them? I want to leave a legacy. How will
they remember me? Nicole Noredeman's Legacy
would have been perfect for this slideshow. Realizing that I do not have a copy of the song, I decided to use Garth Brookes' "If Tomorrow Never Comes" instead.
Here's my version:
Sometimes late at night
I watch them sleeping
They're lost in their peaceful dreams
I walk to my bedroom in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would they ever doubt the way I feel
About them in my heart.
If tomorrow never comes
Will they know how much I loved them
Did I try in every way to show them very day
That they are my precious gifts from above
And if my time on earth were through
And they must face the world without me
Is the love I gave them in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes.
'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much my kids means to me
To avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell them how I feel.
If tomorrow never comes
Will they know how much I loved them
Did I try in every way to show them every day
That they're my precious gifts from above
And if my time on earth were through
And they must face the world without me
Is the love I gave them in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes.
So tell that someone that you love
Just what's you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes.
