I might not follow.
Don't walk behind me.
I might not lead.
Walk beside me
And be my Dad.

This is a precious moment, as well as a a precious memory. Our dear friend is moving in December. We will miss our dear friend and her family.
Dear Friend's mother, Lianne, and I have been good friends for 3 plus years. Lianne's walk with the LORD is very strong. When I am around her, I can't help but smile and have a joyful heart. She touches many lives where ever she goes. Although I am sad that she is leaving, I know the LORD has plans for her in Arizona.

This House is Built with Love

When Grandma purchased an antique dollhouse for dear grand-daughter, her requests were for my dear husband to add electricity and to do some minor repair; however, dear husband saw it differently. Realizing that it was going to take him just as long to renovate the dollhouse, he decided to salvage what was reusable, and built dear daughter this

Dear daughter loves the dollhouse. She displays it proudly at the end of her bed. As you can tell, it is the home of Polly Pocket. Just like the little red sweater, this sturdy dollhouse will have its own story as each generation plays with it.

Shhhh.... We Played Hooky Today
2 comments Posted by Speaking from the Heart at Friday, January 25, 2008With one activity after another, our week has been chaotic. However, the kids have managed to keep up with their schoolwork. Therefore, we took the day off to have a little fun. We started our day at the mall, where my darling daughter spent her Christmas money on a bear and a couple of outfits at Build-A-Bear.
We went to our favorite Chinese Buffet before participating in a spelling bee. Because the kids wanted to eat out, and paying for 3 adults is not in my weekly budget, they paid for their meals. Wait a minute, we didn't skip school after all, we just had life-skills 101 and money managment.
My daughter came in fourth at the spelling bee. For the fifth time in a row, my son came in second. He was hoping that he would come in first place this year, since his rival has moved away.

Big business began as a small business
All over the country, homeschool families are gathering weekly to teach their children. Moms can't drop off their kids. They have to contribute. While one mom is taking care of the little ones, other moms might be teaching art, dance, math, history, etc.
When the kids returned to class last Tuesday, they were encouraged to come up with a business. Noah, son of a homeschool mom, was ahead of the game. Since homeschoolers meet on Wednesdays for physical education at a local park, he thought this would be a great place to open Snack Attack.
Praise the LORD, My dear son just completed Algebra I, his first high school credit. It seems like yesterday, when I taught him how to add. After taking off 2 weeks, we'll start Algebra 2. For the most part, he taught himself . I hate to say this, but a lot of times he was teaching me. It has been a great review for me. I even learned somethings that I didn't understand the first time around.

By choice, we're friends
Dear Sister's love for me is obvious. When I walked away from the LORD, She viligently prayed and patiently waited for my return. Her love, obedience, and faith for our LORD is obvious in her daily walk.
Thank you , Lord for blessing me with a wonderful sister.

As our parents get older, my dear husband takes on the responsibilities of maintaining their homes. When we visit them, he uses his time wisely by fixing things around the house. Dear Husband spent a week replacing siding at Mom's last summer. This past Christmas, he replaced my in-law's bathroom light fixtures and a toilet. As you can see from the pictures, he had a little helper.
P.S. The Toilet is new.
