One good thing about cycling my bike at 6:30 AM is I get to see God's art work. He adds colors here and there to his black canvas. At this point, the picture is a blur. If I squint my eyes, I can make out the objects in the picture. Although buses and cars come and go, He is not distracted by the noise. He continues with His painting. As I quietly watch Him work, I noticed the objects are coming into focus as he lightens the background and strokes shadows of rays coming from the clouds. Just when I thought the picture was perfect, He adds his final touch, a sun rising beyond the horizons.
This is the day that God has made, Rejoice and be joyful in it! -Psalms 118:24

Knowing that we went out for dinner on Sunday night, I knew there was a slim chance of us going out again on Monday night. Like a child, I tested the water. I told Jeff that I NEEDED to go to the mall for the big Labor Day Sale. I expected him to tell me that I didn't need anything at the mall, or that we needed to save some money.
I was working on Katherine's weekly syllabus, when Jeff came in all dressed. That was my cue that we were going somewhere. Without any questions, I got ready. In my mind, I thought we were running to a hardware store. At the same time, he thought that we were going to the mall.
As we were heading out of our subdivision, he asked me which mall we were going to. Feeling guilty that I had misled him, I slowly told him I didn't need to go to the mall. He wasn't happy at first, nor did he turn the car around. He continued to destination of nowhere. Needless to say, we never went to the mall. We stopped at Sonny's BBQ for lunch/dinner, and spent some family time driving around the county.
