March Theme: I Remember my Wedding Day
When Prince Charming works long hours, I get very nostalgic. To fill the void, my mind wanders back to how we met, how we survived the separation, etc. But no matter where my mind wanders, it ends with the day when we said, "I do".
The guests thought I was crying during our vows; on the contrary, I was giggling. My sister was crying. I knew that if I didn’t start thinking about something funny, I would have started crying also. It was very hard to control my silliness.
Our wedding was in July. With all the busyness, I completely forgot to make sure that the church turn on the A/C in the dining hall, where we had the reception.
It was one hot wedding party.Because Prince Charming and I had decent jobs, we helped my parents paid for the wedding. We didn't spend a lot of money on the wedding, nor did we go on a honeymoon. We used the money as a down payment on our first home.
My wedding gown and the attendee dresses were made by a local seamstress.Mom spent many months putting the sequences on my train.
My sister was the maid of honor, and my father-in-law was the best man. My best friend from college and Prince Charming’s brother were the other attendees. Prince Charming’s niece was the flower girl.
The flowers were a gift from my aunt, who spent countless hours making sure the arrangements were to my liking.
In memory of our loved ones, we purposely left the first two pews vacant, and draped arm rest with flower arrangements.
Here are some ideas:
Was it raining, sunny, cold, etc?
Did something funny happen during the ceremony?
Who did you pick to be in your wedding and why?
Did you wear your mother's gown?
Blog it, return, and link it to Mr. Linky.
