Speaking from the Heart

I never thought the advantage of an open-book test until now. My friend was telling me that her daughter made 68% on an open-book test. How could  a child do so terrible on a test when the answers were in front of her?  She doesn't know how to search for the answers in the text. This will be one of my school projects for this coming week.
